Five Necessities For The Ultimate Gamer Night!

When it comes to having the ultimate gaming session there are plenty of things to consider. When is the right time for you to play without being interrupted, what game you want to play, whether or not you want to stream and finally, whether you are just playing for fun or looking to take your gaming further? These are all things to consider when you are setting up that perfect opportunity to just play your favourite game and forget about anything else that is going on outside. Here I am going to go through five necessities I feel you need to be able to complete the ultimate gamer session.

The System

While it does not matter whether you have a top of the line PC, require to use cloud gaming as your PC or laptop may not be up to the task of running a game on PC at full specs or a console player. Using a system that you feel the most comfortable on is key to getting the most enjoyment out of your session. There is no point trying to force yourself on a system that can not handle what you are trying to play or if you want to make the step from console to PC, continuing to play on the console may not be the best move to keep your motivation levels up. You are always able to record your play one way or another, so you can share the hype moments during your gaming session. Play on what you feel comfortable/enjoy the most.

The Accessories

Accessories are surprisingly an important aspect of having a successful gaming session. Having a sound system that will help you gain an advantage whether it being hearing footsteps or gunfire you would miss without can help in those telling moments when you need to be at your best. For me, the Razer Kraken Tournament Edition, wired gaming headset has been one of the best buys I have made. With THX Spatial audio to allow total volume control and is a noise-cancelling headset, the Razer Kraken Tournament Edition is the perfect headset for me.

Your accessories don't all have to be expensive top of the line pieces of equipment though. When it comes to mice, there are a lot of things to consider, such as size, weight, comfort and whether you prefer wired or wireless. As a console gamer myself, having a responsive control pad, with the correct button layout and in-game settings for you to perform at your best is key to getting the best out of your session.

The Game

The most important part of any gaming session is what you play. With such a wide variety of games, such as Among Us, Destiny 2, Fall Guys and Rocket League getting some of the limelight this year outside of the usual first-person shooters. There hasn't been a better year to play a range of games to get the most out of your gaming session. The most important thing is that you play a game that you enjoy and love, this will not only help prevent burning out but if you want to stream or share clips on to social media platforms, this is usually the thing that shines through the most.

For me, Call of Duty and Rocket League are the two that I can play endless amounts of and not get bored. It's key to remember that not everyone is going to be the best at the game or the biggest content creator, but as long as you are having fun and getting the most out of what you play, then you will have a great time nonetheless.

The Snacks

It's a rare occasion, but when I manage to get the time to have an amazing gamer session, I generally do not want to take too much time away from whatever game I am playing. Therefore, I make sure that wherever I am, I have as many snacks set aside so I can continue to play for as long as much I can. I have a sweet tooth but like to make sure that what I am eating isn't going to make me feel sluggish the longer I play. Having protein bars or cookies has helped me keep my levels up while getting the best out of myself.

The Drink

Now for those of you who have followed me for a while will likely know, I have always been an avid fan of fizzy energy drinks when I have been either playing games or recording content. However, when the opportunity came up to give Beyond NRG a try, I instantly took it as I have always thought powdered energy drinks were more of a fad than anything else. I can now say that I was wrong and am going to find it hard to return to my gaming energy source.

Beyond NRG is a water and powder mixture that can be combined in a standard filtered shaker or their specifically designed Vortex shaker that takes less than 20 seconds to complete and be ready to drink. The Beyond NRG formula includes a nootropic stack containing active ingredients, essential vitamins and minerals that are key to enhanced focus, cognitive function and so much more. The team of avid gamers took 18 months to create their fusion formula to eliminate the ‘crash’ people experience with other energy drinks. This is something I have noticed the most since I have been using Beyond NRG, as I have definitely felt better throughout the day and with it being a water/powder mixture, have found that I am less bloated or gassy later into my sessions.

There are five flavours currently, the three I have tried are Strawberry, Watermelon and Lime, Honeydew Melon, Grape and Raspberry and Mango, Pineapple and Blood Orange (with the latter being my personal favourite). There are also two special edition flavours in association with Mortal Kombat, Blue Raspberry Lemonade and Wild Forest Fruits, which sound incredible and I want to get my hands on Blue Raspberry Lemonade.

I now can not think about using any other energy drinks outside of Beyond NRG, as the benefits I have received in both myself and my concentration since using it, have been very clear to see.

While there are likely other things that I have missed that could be included in an ultimate gamer session, these are the five most important to me in my opinion. Let me know what you think is key for the ultimate gamer session.
