Sources: The Shanghai Dragons Have Completed A Trade For Toronto Defiant's Off Tank Kang-Jae "Envy" Lee

The Shanghai Dragons have acquired Off Tank Kang-Jae "Envy" Lee from the Toronto Defiant for cash, league sources have told haloofthoughts.

The news which was reported first by OWBeacon on Twitter earlier today, comes after the Toronto Defiant announced their intention to move away from their all Korean roster prior to stage two, when the Defiant promoted Off-Tank Gods and Main Tank Sharyk from their Academy team the Montreal Rebellion.

While the rest of the Toronto Defiant are comfortable playing in an international team, League sources have stated that Envy struggles to be a part of teams that aren't fully Korean, due to his preference to play on Korean rosters. The move is one that makes sense in regards to the situation both the Defiant and Envy.

For the Dragons, the pick up of Envy is a move that should continue to bolster their promising roster. After the team parted ways with GuardiaN last week, Envy coming in provides Shanghai with an upgrade in the teams weakest area and allows a more aggressive tank line partner for Main Tank Gamsu.

League sources have stated that the league is expecting to approve the deal shortly, with the teams announcements following afterwards. This means that Envy should be eligible to play against both the Los Angeles Valiant and Gladiators.

Haloofthoughts reached out to both the Toronto Defiant and Shanghai Dragons, who both hadn't responded at the time of posting.
