German esports organisation Angry Titans, who are most known for their participation in the European region of Overwatch Contenders and hosts of the Rise of Titans VALORANT tournament, have officially entered the professional VALORANT scene and are expected to sign European team Project SW, multiple sources have told haloofthoughts.
Sources confirmed that Project SW's roster which consists of former Overwatch players Jeremy "Hqrdest" Danton and Adam "Khegasi" Benaouadi, former CSGO players Kostas "tsack" Theodoropoulos and Tristan "Dawn" Bornet and finally former PUBG player Jose Luis "Koldamenta" Aranguren. Are expected to play under the Angry Titans banner in the LVL VALORANT CLASH 2, next weekend either through a direct invite or the tournaments qualification process. The team had already confirmed that Quentin "Wrath" Sevegner, who was previously a Head Coach of the Montreal Rebellion, the former Academy team of the Overwatch League's Toronto Defiant and Nicolas "Skwal" Sautron, the former Team Manager for the Paris Eternal's Academy team, Eternal Academy, will be the team's coach and team manager respectively.
Project SW burst onto the scene during the qualifying rounds of the recent Allied Esports Odyssey Ignition Series tournament this weekend just gone, when they pushed FunPlus Phoenix to the limit in the first qualifying round finals, which they ultimately lost 2-1. They then made the semi-finals of the second qualifying day before beating beaten again. Hqrdest, who previously played for Eagle Gaming One.PoinT, Samsung Morning Stars and the Eternal Academy is probably the teams most known player and comes into what seems to be the last Ignition Series tournament with a Kills per Round of 0.82, and an ACS of 249.1 in just over 200 professional rounds on Raze according to VLR.gg.
This is a roster that could very well be contending for a top-five to ten spot once they have had more time to practice and gain tournament experience, so expectations could be high for this roster to perform well during the next few events.
