Burning Blue: An Interview With Main Tank Min-Seok ”OGE” Son

With their homestand complete and the Dallas Fuel firmly locked in for the stage two playoffs, I’ve spoken to OGE about some of his current thoughts the homestand weekend, the Houston Outlaws, the Fuel right now and the All-Star/Overwatch World Cup.

First of all, let’s talk about the Dallas Fuel’s Homestand. How did it feel to play your first home game in front of your home fans?

It was so amazing. It was an unbelievable experience.

You’re the kings of Houston and from the play of the two teams this year, it’s clear to see who runs Texas. How does it feel and do you have anything you’d like to say about it?

I don't think about texas rivalry that much. We only play them once this year. Maybe more in the future. I just do my best for every game for our team.

You had a great weekend in front of the Dallas fans and we know that you got emotional after your game with Houston. Can you tell us what you were thinking at the time?

I just thought about my past, what it took to get to this point, and when I think about it I didn’t ever expect someone or a big crowd to be cheering or watching me.  It was just a super amazing time.

With the Fuel clinching a spot in the stage playoffs again. How far do you feel the team can go this season?

If we don't make mistakes and play well with communication and confidence, then we can win any match and make it to grand finals

The atmosphere between the team seems to be in a good place right now and the additions of Closer, Note and Zachareee seems to have elevated Dallas team fighting ability. What’s changed to the previous season?

I think we are just trying hard to win together as a team and the new coaching systems have really helped us see how we all fit together.

Your play this season has you rated in my opinion as a top three Main Tank with Bumper and Super. What’s allowed you to to play so well so far?

First, my English skills are growing so I have more ability to make and understand game plans.
And second, I can play Rein and Winston really well. I’m studying and working hard to help my team win.

With both the All-Star Weekend coming up and the announcement that the Overwatch World Cup Is returning. How would you feeling if you got the chance to represent the Pacific and South Korea?

If I have a chance, I want to play both. It would be an honor to represent on either roster.
and if i have that chance, I know it will make me really happy and i will try to win just as hard.

Finally, for anyone looking to buy a Dallas Fuel jersey, what would you say for fans to buy your jersey?
If you guys buy my jersey, you guys would be able to see my belly. lmao

With the Dallas Fuel securing their second stage playoff appearance in the Overwatch League as the 6th or 7th ranked team, Fuel fans can enjoy the prospect of another big weekend of games next week.

I want to thank OGE for his answers as he took the time to write them himself.
