We're a few days into the new year and I wanted to have a little place to write down a few goals that I would like to achieve this year. This isn't a new year, new me post, or a new years resolution post as I don't want to set something that I know I'd break. So without further ado below are my goals for this year.
I'm at the ever so young age of 29 this year but I'm still unable to drive. When ever I have started to learn in the past, I've had a set of circumstances (A knee dislocation or 5 and not being able to continue due to funds) have gotten in the way. Now my knees have settled down and the finances are a bit more stable, I fully plan to get this completed asap.
Health and Fitness
As I have previously mentioned in regards to my general health and fitness, I have always yo-yo'd and have had a problem with my body confidence and image. Towards the end of last year I completely bailed on the gym and have seen the outcomes of this gradually over that period. I want to get back to somewhere between 11 1/2 stone and 12 1/2 stone. This means returning to the gym 3 times a week and being back on the healthy foods (to an extent).
Progressing My Blog
When I first started this blog in August it was to have a little place to share my experiences and views. It has been a fun 5 months and while I have mainly focused on gaming, grooming and lifestyle. I want to extend this into fashion and food because there are so many great places in Southampton to eat and I really need to up and improve my clothes this year.
Improving my Social Anxiety & Self Confidence
Linking into progressing my blog, I suffer from social anxiety which can prevent myself being interactive when I'm with a group of people I don't know or a large group of friends I do. I also have a tendency to be way too hard on myself if things don't happen to go as planed or right. Blogging has slowly helped improve this for me and I plan to continue with improving both of these as the year goes on.
Planning the Wedding
Alice and I have been engaged for 6 months now and together for 4 1/2 years. Although we have done the basic's towards our wedding and started to save for it. I want to be able to say that we've progressed with our wedding plans and hopefully have a date. This is one of the things I am looking forward to completing this year.
So here we have it, these are my goals for this year and these may chop and change through out but I am looking forward to seeing how I get on with these. What are your goals for this year if you have anything set.
Social anxiety can suck - I suffer from it too and you have no idea how much of a difference you and Alice made when I met you on Taco night! Great set of goals and here's to oping you achieve them all!
ReplyDeleteYea if you can get a good gauge on people you don't know early it always helps, plus if I've spoken to someone before be it on Twitter I'm not so bad.
DeleteGlad Alice and I helped at the Taco Bell event.
These sound like great goals and also that you're willing to accept that they can chop and change. Good luck with planning your wedding...I loved planning mine!

It makes sense to have goals but too realise when some aren't working. We are taking our time with the wedding planning but should be alright.
