For the third year in a row, F&F have teamed up with leading charities to provide help and support to people over the Christmas period. This year is F&F have teamed up with FareShare a food distribution charity and The Trussell Trust a food bank charity, to provide some Christmas joy to people in need.
Being available in Tesco's across the country and online, you will be able to purchase a variety of fun Christmas hats for men, women and children. With every hat sold, there will be a £1 donation to help those in need during the festive season and the aim is to raise £200,000 through the sales of the festive hats, to take the total donated to the two charities to £600,00.
FareShare and The Trussell Trust are two established charities that challenge the cycle of on going food poverty within the UK. They provide food and support to those who need it the most and with there currently being over Thirteen Million people who live below the poverty line in the UK , they are both charities well worth supporting.
FareShare are a UK-wide charity that tackles food waste and hunger by redistributing in date, good food from the food and drink industry, that would otherwise go to waste. By distributing to front line charities and community groups that support vulnerable people, including homeless shelters, children breakfast clubs and domestic violence refuges.
The Trussell Trust are an anti-poverty charity that runs a network of more than 420 food banks across the country, working with churches and communities to provide three days worth of emergency food and support to people in crisis.
As someone growing up and having to rely on charities such as FareShare and The Trussell Trust to just get by you will be seeing me rocking my Christmas pudding hat over the Christmas and winter period. With a large range of novelty hats on offer, it is worthy cause to go out and support.
Christmas hats sent for this post. This is not a paid post.
